2025 WWOA Gerald H. Slattery Short Courses Scholarship Program
The WWOA is pleased to announce that the Gerald H. Slattery Scholarships will be awarded to selected WWOA members to participate in the Annual Water and Wastewater Operators Short Courses. The Short Courses will be held June 1st - June 6th, 2025, at Mount St. Mary’s University, Emmitsburg, MD.
The Scholarships cover the expense of registration, lodging, and meals (as provided by the Short Courses) for WWOA members selected at a random drawing to be held at the Executive Board Meeting on March 19, 2025. Members need not be present to win. Only one entry per member will be accepted. Up to sixteen (16) scholarships will be awarded (four for each of the WWOA's Sections).
To enter the drawing for the Scholarships, simply complete the entry form below so that it is received no later than 4 PM March 17, 2025. Only applicants that were 2024 WWOA members and are now current 2025 WWOA members (2025 dues paid as of March 17, 2024) are eligible. Winners will be notified no later than March 31, 2025. Scholarships are valid for the 2025 Short Course only and are not transferable. If a winner is unable to attend or receives Short Course funding from any other source (excluding themselves or employer), the scholarship becomes void. Winners must claim scholarship no later than April 25, 2025. The registration fee will be paid by WWOA directly to the Short Courses. No cash awards will be made directly to winners. WWOA is not responsible for lost, stolen, misplaced, unreadable or late entries.
